The new NTDS dataset is a subset of information describing a complete injury event. It includes information that is considered important from a trauma system, hospital personnel, and an injury patient's perspective. The data elements within the new NTDS dataset provide documentation of system performance and clinical care.

Explanation of the Element Type:

Trauma Elements: A comprehensive list of all of the potential elements that would be collected about an emergency incident. (e.g. Patient name, unit #, etc.)
